Have you always thought your family has that factor that would make you a good match for the television show Family Feud? If you live in the Louisville area, you’re in luck, because tryouts are headed this way on February 25th and 26th, 2012.
The game show was originally created by Mark Goodson and Bill Toddman. If you’ve been living under a rock and have never seen the show, it is based on the concept of two families battling one another for points by guessing how others answered survey questions.
The show aired on ABC in 1976 with the first host Richard Dawson. Dawson hosted Family Feud from 1976 to 1985, when the show went off the air. The show didn’t stay cancelled for long. In 1988, it was revived and hosted by various people, including Louie Anderson, Richard Karn, John O’Hurley and Steve Harvey. Harvey has been the host since 2010.
If your family is just zany enough to be a match for the show, start by sending an e-mail to Louisville@familytryouts.com telling them why your crew is wacky and stands out from the crowd. The show is also interested in seeing short video clips of your family. Remember that they want unique, interesting people, so show off this side of your family in the clip.
To try out, you need a group of five family members willing to participate. They also suggest that those participating be at least 15 years old. Remember that some questions can be a little risque and also require some maturity to answer correctly. Get additional details at the Family Feud Tryouts site.
