- 3 Days if the chicken is cooked and in the fridge.
You can freeze uncooked chicken to make it last longer. You can also freeze cooked chicken. So, my advice is to freeze it when you get home. Once cooked, if you have leftovers, shred, label a freezer bag and freeze for up to six months. You then can have shredded chicken for salads and recipes. Simply thaw for a day or two in the fridge.
